Last week I participated in an Engraving Workshop with Master Sung-Joon Cho from South Korea and Kenny Son from Sydney. We learnt traditional hand engraving techniques. This was something I’d never done before. With over 50 years of expertise, Master Cho made the hand tools and engraved with great precision. It was amazing to watch Master Cho in his element as he used two pendant drills at the same time (controlled by a foot pedal), one of the drills rotated clockwise and the other anticlockwise.
This clip shows Master Cho and Kenny at the Jam Factory in Adelaide, where a similar workshop was held before travelling to Perth.
